Do not use this skate for hockey, there isn't enough support, however it makes a great recreational skate. The blade is thicker like a figure skate's blade. Sharpen before using, the blade is a bit on the dull side...as most new skates are. Boot is very comfortable, follow K2's size chart...very accurate. They fit just like their inline skates.

I bought these for my son (12) who just started skating, and he loves them. He's been able to pick it up so quickly. Easy putting them on and off. No struggling with long laces coming undone. And very good support.

These skates were very comfy save for a little too much pressure on top back where it presses against one's calf

The most comfortable skate I have ever had, quick ties and snaps very nice. If I were to change any thing on them it would be adding one more buckle on the skate at bottom of foot.
