Great looking skate. Fantastic ankle support. Good fit, even with my wide feet. I really like that quick lace system, easy to use even with cold fingers in single digit weather. Only gripe is, the lower strap is thin vinyl. It broke where it folded through the buckle at the point where the velcro changes. Strap should have been made out of at least nylon strapping. I did have it fixed and re-inforced. Works good now. I wouldn't use these skates for hockey though. A puck, slap-shot into my toe (no toe cap) wouldn't leave me in too great of shape

I played hockey as a kid and now that I have kids these skates get me out on the ice with them.

Having very weak ankles, I needed a taller than average boot with a strap to really hold my ankle and lower leg like my inline skates do. This soft boot is the ticket! The slightest drawback is that my toes get a bit chillier on the ice than with leather boots. A small price to pay for great support.
