The SL Magnesium Power was designed for the sole purpose of dominating Slalom courses. Built with a tried and true sandwich compound sidewall construction the SL Magnesium Power has the guts to grip on any course no matter how steep, icy, or rutted out. To give the SL Magnesium Power the grit and liveliness a great slalom race ski needs Blizzard uses a full wood core with two layers of magnesium. This combination creates a huge amount of pop to the finish of the turn allowing you to pick the best possible line and a surprisingly damp feel to help keep the ski on the snow for faster run times. New for this season the SL Magnesium Power get the Marker Power Plate as well. The Power Plate uses an oil piston for extra damping and power to the edges and can be adjusted to change your flex profile to fine tune for different courses and each individual. An important note, the Power Plate requires you use a Marker Comp Series binding. For racers involved in USSA and other FIS sanctioned races the 165cm length complies with FIS Men's regulations and the 155cm length complies with FIS Women's regulations.
