The Lock Jaw Clamp in the shaft makes sure that your pole will not collapse on you no matter what size it is set at, and it is quick and easy to adjust with or without gloves on. The Lock Jaw can also help you eliminate some of the gear that goes in your pack, by adding a snow depth ruler, and a inclinometer in the handle.
