Reebok put considerable effort into studying the movement of the body and designed the KFS (Kinetic Fit System) technology to protect the player but to also enhance performance by having the equipment move with the player. The Reebok 6K KFS Hockey Shoulder Pads feature a two-piece front, two-piece back KFS construction featuring aerated, lightweight IXPE foam. A two-piece system allows the pads to stay in place while moving. So players can have a full range of motion, the clavicle is hinged. JDP (Joint Discharge Principle), uses the principle that the cap should disperse impact away from the fragile joints and into the big surrounding muscles. The low-profile Pro JDP shoulder caps allow this energy to be dispersed when taking hits or colliding into the boards. IXPE foam and the PE sternum cap are lightweight but still provide a high level of protection. KFS shoulder blade permits uninhibited movement that follows the body.
