Oakley Splice Goggles 2013 |
Retail: $150 (Up to 44% off)
Forget what you think you know about goggles. Oakley has completely changed the name of the game with the Splice. These could very well be the most comfortable goggles ever created for winter sports. They have done a lot of anatomical engineering with the end result being a unique architecture which reduces pressure on the entire nasal area by tuning the distribution of contact forces to greatly enhance airflow. The skeletal support system works with the lightweight O Matter frame that will retain its flexibility even in extreme cold. And to further reduce pressure and augment comfort the frame is surrounded by a thick triple layer of fleece face foam with moisture wicking properties and strap outriggers that keeps everything evenly balanced with or without a helmet. The dual vented pure Plutonite lens material provides unsurpassed impact protection with unbeatable clarity to reduce glare and offer a fine tuned calibration of light transmission for improved depth perception. They have also been treated with a specially formulated F3 Anti-fog coating and offer 100% UV protection from all harmful rays. Oakley has raised the bar on what you have come to expect from high performance precision eyewear with the Splice goggles.

Comments about Oakley Splice Goggles 2012:
My favorite Oakley goggles were the A-Frames, but these are my new favorites. Peripheral vision is excellent. The Splices don't have any plastic frame material protruding from the nose area. This is most beneficial for us snowboarders since we are not looking straight forward while riding. Since we have to turn our heads to either side, other goggles' nose pieces come into our field of vision. The Splices get rid of this problem completely.
I have long been a fan of Oakley sunglasses and it is no different with their goggles. They absolutely make the most durable lenses around. I once fell face first full speed onto a patch of ice while wearing these. I walked away with a bloody lip, but the Oakleys were still good as new. Highly recommend these goggles. I own the Asian fit and it fits very well.
