Hobie Adventure Island Kayak 2011 |
The Mirage Adventure Island, a 16' Trimaran Sail/yak that incorporates the patented Hobie Mirage-Drive into a unique sailing machine unlike any other sailing craft on the water. A boom-less, roller-furling sail rig similar to the rig on the Hobie Bravo with plenty of sail area for excellent performance, completely manageable from the cockpit with the pull of a line. Two retractable arms that fold up against the side of the boat, again with the simple pull of a line, for easy docking, maneuverability, and transport. The Adventure Island offers full versatility as a pedaling kayak when conditions are not convenient for sailing.

Comments about Hobie Adventure Island 2011:
The Hobie Adventure Island is so much fun! I have never sailed before and after a 2 minutes lesson, I was out sailing in no time. You can really get going quick if the wind is blowing. You feel so stable with the two amas. But with its Roller-furling sail you can just roll it up if its gets to windy out, and then just paddle in with its mirage drive. It's great for small lakes to oceans. You can't go wrong with the Adventure Island.
