Hobie Mirage Sport Kayak 2011 |
The Hobie Mirage Sport Kayak provides comfort and a boat-load of features whether you're just relaxing on a lake or catching your evening meal. Equipped with a Twist and Stow Rudder you can easily navigate if the currents start pushing you in a direction you don't intend to go. You'll have two-piece paddles with on-hull storage that way you can take a break without the worry of dropping a paddle overboard, not that you ever would or that I ever did, but for other people who dropped their paddles in, it makes for great storage. If you want to give your arms a rest just toss your feet into the Mirage Drive; these will let you pedal your way to faster speeds. And finally, there are Two Twist and Seal Hatches. One is located right at your feet and contains a gear bucket and dry bag. Of course, what would be a do-it-all kayak without cup holders? There are two for you, one port, one stern. The Hobie Mirage Sport Kayak is smooth comfort, performance and most importantly, fun!

Comments about Hobie Mirage Sport Kayak 2011:
The Hobie Sport is my choice for day trips on lakes. It is the lightest Hobie with a Mirage drive thats not an inflatable and I can put it on top of my car with ease. With the other Hobies they are just very heavy to be loading them by yourself. The Sport is small, light weight and great stability for a 9ft kayak. I load the sport up with my fishing stuff and use a wheel cart for the back. Then I just lift and carry the front and walk to small secluded ponds. This boat is great for someone who wants to go out by themselves but is worried about weight.

Comments about Hobie Mirage Sport Kayak 2011:
Hobie is on to something with the Mirage Drive System. It is so easy to use and you can make it a work out or not. I have used it for a morning and late afternoon paddle. Used it on a hot day to just paddle out in the middle and jump in and easily get back on. I have used it fishing and makes it a breeze with your hands free to cast. I have also took the Mirage Drive out and used it on the river and it paddled and maneuvered great. This boat is also light enough for one person to put ontop of your car. The Hobie Sport is more fun to use then any other boat I've had.
