Product Description

For every lady out there that likes the feel and warmth of puffy jacket but hates the bulky and restrictive feel that often come with them Patagonia offers you the Rubicon Rider. Shaped to have a comfortable and slimming fit the Rubicon Rider has a flattering fit at the waist without feeling restrictive. Starting with a supple 2.4 ounce 50 denier shell for a light and mobile exterior and an easy gliding 2.7 ounce 100% recycled taffeta liner the Rubicon Rider is super soft with great mobility in a lightweight jacket. Inside the shell 150 grams of Thermogreen, a 90% recycled polyester, to provide ample amounts of warmth without being bulky and being very compressible making it pack friendly. To add durability to the Rubicon Rider 6 ounce 150 denier reinforcements are added to the shoulders and hem to toughen up the high wear areas and then for water and weatherproofing they are backed with a H2No barrier that is highly waterproof and breathable and then the whole outer is treated with Deluge Durable Water Repellent to seal out the elements. When the temperature really drops the Rubicon Rider has a helmet compatible hood you can flip up that is removable for warmer days and has convenient one hand adjustment. Also for warmer days or just when you happen to be working up a good sweat generous pit zip vents can be opened to really let the Rubicon Rider breathe out. Supplied with ample pockets including an audio pocket integrated into the chest and a removable powder skirt that integrates into any Patagonia Ski/Snowboard pant the Rubicon Rider is pretty tricked out. With all the appeal of a puffy and none of the draw backs the Rubicon Rider is a wonderful and warm jacket for the winter enthusiast.

Comments about Patagonia Rubicon Rider Womens Insulated Ski Jacket 2012:

I bought this jacket for skiing. I haven't had a chance to try it on the slopes but I have worn in out in the cold CO weather. It is warm and has a cute style.
