The El Rey from Armada is back for another season as one of the most versatile skis for teen and intermediate park riders today. With a Cap construction the El Rey is a light, responsive, and quick turning ski perfect for the first time park rider and thanks to it's slightly wider platform, mid 80mm waists, is a great choice for all mountain use and softer park conditions. To keep things simple Armada uses the Fleet Core and Positive Camber on the El Rey. This combination provides smooth and predictable pop for easy turning and good energy of ollieing or hitting jumps and great edge hold to keep everything under control for setting spins or shredding all mountain. Knowing park skis take huge amounts of abuse the El Rey gets the beefed up 2.5 Impact Edge, which under goes a hardening process to strengthen it and is double the size of standard edges for resistance to cracking and pull out from rails, boxes, or whatever else you end up jibbing. For additional durability the S7 base is super tough for gouge prevention but gets an additive so it holds wax and glides much better than other similar bases.

Hi, Thom here with the Armada El Rey. I'm gonna give this 4/5 stars, for the price it's real hard to beat. It's a very stable ski with a smooth feel to it. Comes around the turn with little effort, and it's got really solid edge hold for a full cap ski. This is gonna be ideal for an intermediate skier, or a younger guy who's looking to push his skiing. Ski more aggressive, and wants something that can either be used as an all mountain ski, or a park ski.

Hi, I'm Steve, I'm here on the Armada El Rey. I give this ski a 4/5 stars, it was a very solid, but easy to turn ski. Perfect for that advanced intermediate skier who would like to have a ski that's not a traditional brand, ski on something cool like an Armada. It went into turns easy, very fluid turn, came out of them nice, and easy as well. Great ski for that person whose a intermediate, to advanced intermediate skier, who wants to get better, but wants a nice easy all mountain ski to ride.
Comments about Armada El Rey Skis 2013:
Micah here, riding the Armada El Rey, I'm gonna have to give this a 3 1/2 out of 5. It's not center mounted right, so I don't feel like I got to use it to it's full potential, but it's a very solid ski though. Taking it through jumps it was not shaky at all, didn't slide out. It's a traditional cambered ski, you can go out there hit rails, do everything, learn a bunch of new tricks on it. It's gonna be more for that intermediate skier, that's trying to get out there, get a little bit more aggressive. So definitely a good ski that I would go out, and ride on for fun.

Hi, my name is Josh, I'm here with the 2013 Armada El Rey. I'm giving this ski 2 1/2 out of 5 stars. What I liked about this ski was, if your riding switch, and your skiing groomers, and your a light skier, its fine. I'm a bigger guy, so this ski underfoot didn't hold an edge very well. I just recommend this to someone who's getting into skiing, and is a lighter guy.
Comments about Armada El Rey Skis 2013:
Evan here, just got off the Armada El Rey. I give this ski 3/5 stars. It's gonna be good for that skier that's just looking to get out there, and start learning some tricks in the park. Needs that ski that's a little bit more so under the cost. Real playful, held an edge pretty well for being a cap construction ski, and all around was pretty enjoyable.
