The Zealot from Black Diamond has a new construction this season. The Formula One Technology has 3 major ribs that is designed specifically for skis wider than 90mm underfoot, to give the ski good ability to ski the firm snow better. The New Zealot has a beefed up construction this year with 3D Metal Sandwich construction that has a paulownia wood core with two titanal sheets, that give the Zealot power for crushing any gaper in its path when it is time to ski the occasional groomer. A new rocker profile gives the Zealot 300mm or rocker in the tip for better flotation, and 150mm of semi rocker in the tail for smearing these fattys down an open face at top speed.
