If you plan on being in the backcountry take the Tour F12 from Marker this season. The F12 has a height adjustable gliding AFD that is compatible with both alpine and AT boot soles. Weighing in at a 1710 grams it is nice a light for all day tours, with lots of power, support, and a 12 DIN for the way down. Marker utilizes its hallow technology that is a fiber reinforced frame base plate that gives you riding stability in a lightweight package. When you switch to touring mode the binding moves back 40mm for better balance and easier kick turns. Titanium climbing aids give you two positrons 7 and 13 degrees, which can be easily be adjusted with your ski pole, even on a steep incline. The comfort 2 heel is optimal for touring boots and has a hollow aluminum axle to reduce weight and maximize torsional stiffness. The Marker Tour F12 is lightweight for an all day tour, and tough enough for burly descents.
