About Atlas Snowshoes

Atlas began in 1990 when founder Perry Klebahn was looking to snowshoeing to help him recover from a motorcycle accident. He was frustrated with the designs of that time and soon developed ideas of his own. Perry applied for patents for the first Atlas snowshoe and was soon awarded the first patent granted for snowshoes in over 40 years. Snowshoeing started to become more popular throughout the world because of this newer technology. Creating this lighter and more compact snowshoe, Perry truly did make a difference in this industry.
