The Bonafide is an everyday ski for adventurous skiers who tend to spend more of their time off piste. At 98mm underfoot the Bonafide certainly has enough width to destroy crud and crust and to float in light to medium sized pow dumps but is still quick enough edge to edge to lay out some serious giant slalom style carves. Apart from the sidecut a huge contributor to the versatile feel of the Bonafide is the Flipcore Technology. Flipcore is a rocker pattern that is created by actually molding the Bonafide upside down, so the rocker is what would normally be camber in any other ski, which creates an even pressure distribution. This means that the Bonafide has smooth tip to tail edge hold and a very nimble fell overall. To take advantage of Flipcore the Bonafide is built around a sandwich compound core, tip to tail wood with composite stringers in the middle third for a poppy feel with huge edge hold that remains lightweight. For a touch of extra horsepower for the more aggressive skiers out there, the Bonafide also gets two layers of titanium making for great torsional stiffness, bumping up the edge hold that also dampens vibrations which is sure to come in handy when in choppy and crusty snow. Even though the Bonafide is built to be a powerhouse, and it does require a solid skier, it responds well to a light and precise touch as well making it a great ski for a huge range of skiers. While it is obvious that all-mountain chargers will love the Bonafide thanks to the race style construction it is a great choice for skiers that are interested in rocker or wider skis but are apprehensive about losing hard packed performance. Whether you are east coast, west coast, or somewhere in between the Bonafide will rip whatever terrain you place at its tips.

2013 Blizzard Bonafide Ski Review

Comments about Blizzard Bonafide Skis 2013:

Hi, Tom here, with the Blizzard Bonafide, 5/5 the whole Bull series just kills it. 98 underfoot, so this is really your everything, anywhere, anytime ski. Very stable, very easy on to edge, leans a little bit more towards the long radius turn. You have to work it, if you wanna get short, snappy turns out of it, but its very easy, and smooth onto edge. Anyone from your advanced intermediate, through your expert level skier, that wants one ski, from the east coast, to the west coast that's gonna handle everything, this is it.

Comments about Blizzard Bonafide Skis 2013:

Hi, I'm Steve, I'm here with the 2013 Blizzard Bonafide. I give this ski 5/5 stars. This was my favorite ski in the series, and it is definitely Bonafide. It was solid, snappy between turns, I could take this ski on hard pack. I wouldn't be afraid to take it out into the softer stuff, little bit of powder. Very solid, and stable, great at high speeds. It was my favorite of this big mountain series from Blizzard. Again 5/5 stars. great for that advanced level, big mountain skier.

2013 Blizzard Bonafide Ski Review

Comments about Blizzard Bonafide Skis 2013:

Hey I'm Kevin. I just got off the Blizzard Bonadife. I give this ski 4 out of 5 stars. It was a good all around all mountain ski. For me, I'm just not quite heavy enough to ski this ski to it's full potential. It's got a layer of metal so if you're a little bit of the lighter side, you're a little more relaxed skier, I would step down to the Bushwacker. Otherwise if you like to ski the whole mountain, trees, powder, just looking for a super versatile all mountain ski that can do it all from groomers to pow definitely check out the Bonafide. It's a great ski. 4 out of 5 stars.

2013 Blizzard Bonafide Ski Review

By Jeff G.

Comments about Blizzard Bonafide Skis 2013:

Jeff here, Blizzard Bonafide 5 out of 5 stars. This thing is an absolute riot to ride. With it's Flipcore technology building this ski upside down. It just makes it a lot more versatile. It's not like riding a true rocker ski where you might get a little bit of fishiness on some of the turns or if you're skiing on the flats. It sticks, it hold, it does everything well. It got best in test. It's full vertical sidewall gives you a tons of stability, you can flip the ski fast side to side, not a single worry in the world with these.

2013 Blizzard Bonafide Ski Review

By Hunter A.

Comments about Blizzard Bonafide Skis 2013:

Hey, its Hunter here, just got off the Blizzard Bonafide. Variable conditions, a little of everything, and this is a 5/5 star ski. It just crushes it, skied it in everything, skied it with its narrower brother at 88 underfoot back to back. If your a western oriented skier, and your looking at, up to 8 inches of fresh in your daily ski routine, this is definitely the one you wanna go with. The edge hold was phenomenal, never shook on me, never chattered. Blown away by what this ski can do, and with the rocker in the tip, an tail, you can slide it sideways, and scrub speed without worrying about catching an edge. Just a great choice all around, for your anywhere charger.

Comments about Blizzard Bonafide Skis 2013:

Hi, I'm Fidel, just got done testing Blizzards Banafide. Really enjoyed this ski, 5/5. Comparatively to the Bushwacker, much stiffer, little bit wider underfoot. I could really let go on this one and it held perfectly for me, again, 5/5 great ski.

Comments about Blizzard Bonafide Skis 2013:

This is Evan here, just got off the Blizzard Bonafide. I give this ski a 5/5. Its gonna be for that intermediate to advanced skier. That wants a little bit wider ski, something that can take on the whole mountain. Very predictable, nice an smooth in and out of turns, but still very stable.

Comments about Blizzard Bonafide Skis 2013:

Hi, I'm Charlie, I just got off the Blizzard Bonafide. I'm gonna give this ski 5/5 stars. This is such a responsive ski, edge to edge, it makes quick, snappy little turns. Then if you lay it down for big turn, it really holds its edge to, there super stable, full sidewalls down the whole thing. Just lets you put everything you got into it, this is a excellent ski, for one ski to do everything you wanna do on the mountain.

Comments about Blizzard Bonafide Skis 2013:

Hey, this is Bram, just got off the Blizzard Bonafide. Give this 5/5 stars, I love this ski. Rips as fast as you wanna go, all over the mountain. Just under 100 underfoot, its a great all mountain ski for a solid intermediate. Little bit of rocker, little bit of camber, works out great in all conditions.

Comments about Blizzard Bonafide Skis 2013:

I'm Brad, I just got off the Blizzard Bonafide. Skis super fun, I give it a 4/5 stars. A little more sluggish then its little brother the Bushwhacker, but real stable underfoot. Definitely floats a little bit nicer, the reverse camber on it helps it get up, and get on edge. Its absolutely a great ski, like I said, a little more sluggish in the turns, but still real solid underfoot. Definitely likes to be ridden at high speeds. Then if your a bigger guy, who likes to rip fast, it would be a great ski for you.

I am a expert skier, 5foot 11inch 180lb What length of the Blizard Bonifide Ski should i be skiing 180 or 186. Mike Stock Billings, Montana

      A:

The short answer is based on your weight and height both lengths are fine for you, but that's not very helpful. Hopefully the following is. As you have the size to ski either length you need to weigh the pros and cons of each. The longer length ski is going to add stability at speed and have a more powerful feel overall and gives you more tail to land on if you like to send it. Also, increased surface area promotes better floatation in powder. The shorter length will still offer you enough support to perform very well for an advanced skier in a more nimble package. Shorter skis are easier to throw around because they are shorter so if you prefer ripping through the trees and in tighter places the shorter ski becomes better. While I that's not a straight answer I hope it gives you the info you need.

With the Bonafide's being a fatter powder ski, you're going to want to size up when going for them. I would recommend at your weight and height going for the 180cm Bonafide, as this will give you all of the floating power you could want while still being within the correct length range for solid control.
