The GSR Magnesium IQ was built for straight forward giant slalom power. Using a very traditional sidewall construction with a full wood core and two layers of magnesium the GSR Magnesium IQ is set up to be a burly race ski. The construction offers huge amounts of torsional stiffness to help you hold no matter how rutted, icy, or nasty a course can get with the pop and smooth feel so you feel confident you will make it around every gate. Featuring the Q TP 11 binding integration system, the GSR Magnesium IQ takes advantage of the additional damping and power the plate provides to further improve tenacity of the ski. These bindings amplify the natural abilities of the ski increasing edge hold and response. For racers involved in USSA and FIS sanctioned races the 182cm and 190cm lengths fit FIS Men's regulations and the 176cm and 186cm lengths fit FIS Women's regulations. So if you are looking for tried and true race performance for the GS discipline look to the GSR Magnesium IQ.

Comments about Blizzard GSR Magnesium IQ Race Skis with Q TP 11 Bindings:

I am a PSIA Certified Level 2 Instructor, former Collegiate Racer, been teaching for 33 years. When I go, I GO! These skiis were purchased on a whim... , end of the year clearance. I had a pair of teaching skiis that were shot. I owned a pair of Magnum 7.6 Blizzards that I really liked, I figured I couldn't go wrong and purchased them.
I took these GSRace skiis and put them thru the paces. I'm 6'1" and 240#. Simple physics says that I'm putting 3 times the force in the ski. This ski really held up well, and gave back all I put in it. While a GS Race, it was very quick edge to edge, with a uniform flex. I would have thought it was a Slalom ski.
