The Blizzard Gunsmoke has a different feel than the other Blizzard skis in the Freemountain series. The Gunsmoke has a lighter, poppy construction that causes it to float and smear better in the deep stuff than the bigger burlier Bodacious. At 114 mm underfoot the Gunsmoke has the width to take on the days when the roads have been closed and the snow has been stacking up. Blizzard makes its Flipcore 3D naturally without bending or breaking the wood, so it keeps its natural shape. At 2250 grams per pair (@186cm) the Gunsmoke is light enough to be used as a sidecountry ski or short backcountry ski. The wood core and ABS sidewalls give the ski the torsional strength to take on the firmer conditions as well, but it can feel a little soggy for the heavier skier to rail on the groomers. If you are looking for a ski that rules the soft and deep stuff, or one that you can take beyond the resort boundaries, pull the Blizzard Gunsmoke out of your holster and pull the trigger.

Comments about Blizzard Gunsmoke Skis:

Hi, Tom here, with the Blizzard Gunsmoke. I'm gonna give this 3 1/2 out of 5 stars. Its got a really unique shape, and its a very easy to engage ski. For me it lacked a little bit of stability on the high end. I can see your lighter weight, aggressive skier loving this, or if your looking for a touring setup. The weight savings, without the metal here, is absolutely a must. It tracks real well, it gets up onto edge easy, but it just doesn't have the same kind of power that the Cochise, or the Bodacious have with the metal.

Comments about Blizzard Gunsmoke Skis:

Whats going on, Jeff here. New Blizzard Gunsmoke Awesome! This is going to be a non-metal ski so it's a little bit softer so if you're somebody thats not quite at big and you need a fun back country ski, this is it. At 114 underfoot this thing is an absolute riot to ride. If you have to get in a pinch and need to catch it and throw, it's going to do that. It's flipcore puts way more lift on it. So this isn't like the Bodacious, it's a completely different ski. Really soft, really responsive. This thing is just going to smear pow all day long and put a smile on your face from ear to ear. 5 out of 5 stars for an awesome new product from Blizzard.

Comments about Blizzard Gunsmoke Skis:

Hi, I'm Charlie, just got off the Blizzard Gunsmoke. I'm gonna give this ski 4/5 stars. Today were in a little bit more of a hard pack, so a ski that's 125 under waist is a little bit big for me right now. It really held it's edge fairly well, so I was surprised with it in initiating turns, and going from ski to ski. It held pretty well, and it was quicker than I had anticipated. It just had a little bit chatter for me on the frontside. If you got into the backside, I'm sure it would be great, but it just seemed that it didn't hold, quite as well, as I had anticipated.

Comments about Blizzard Gunsmoke Skis:

Hi, I'm Steve, I just got off the Blizzard Gunsmoke. I give this ski a 3 1/2 out of 5 stars. I think in a more powder snow condition, this would be a great ski. We got kinda a slushy, hard pack today. It edged surprisingly well for a ski so wide, it actually edged a little to soon for me. I was surprised at how quickly it kinda hooked up. It is a nice light ski, and it definitely can be skied on a hard pack condition. Ideally, it should be skied in a more powdery, soft pack type of condition.

Comments about Blizzard Gunsmoke Skis:

Hey, it's Hunter here with the Blizzard Gunsmoke, and another 5/5 star ski, from Blizzard. Just got done skiing in pretty variable conditions, a little bit heavier snow, and the first thing I can say about it, is that, its silky smooth. Doesn't take a lot of effort, to make the ski go from edge to edge. Which is surprising giving its width. Phenomenal edge hold, finishes a turn well, floats great, it really is the whole deal package, for someone looking to go fast. Not quite as jibby as some offerings out there, but if you mostly ski forward, and wanna hull, its a great option.

Comments about Blizzard Gunsmoke Skis:

Hey, I'm Brad, I just got off the Blizzard Gunsmoke. This ski rocks, I'm gonna give it a 5/5 stars. 114 underfoot, definitely gives it a lot of float in the soft stuff, but it held an edge like I've never had a ski this big hold before. Definitely super smooth side to side, I could even pick up my inside foot. So almost felt like a powder race ski to me which I liked a lot. Its definitely light, so its good for the guys that aren't super heavy, and out looking for a real burly. At 114 like I said I think this is an awesome kind of side country, backcountry ski, for us lighter guys.

Comments about Blizzard Gunsmoke Skis:

I'm Adam and I was just skiing on the new Blizzard Gunsmoke. 5 out of 5 this ski absolutely rips. 114 underfoot with their fliprocker, rocker profile. Still haven't caught my breath from skiing it. 5 out of 5 it can do anything you want to. There is no metal in this ski so it can be a really sweet really surfy pow ski but it handles all the conditions really really well. 5 out of 5.
