Full Tilt Growth Spurt Kids Ski Boots 2012 |
Due to this boot being adjustable in size, we unfortunately cannot offer Binding Mounting and Setup services with this boot. The final size setting of the boot must be determined before the bindings can be adjusted to it to ensure that the ski/boot/binding system is properly adjust and functioning for the safety of the skier. It turns out that some of the folks at Full Tilt must be parents too and have noticed that kids like to grow. Their solution to this annual problem is the Growth Spurt. While other adjustable boots exist none of them benefit from Full Tilt's 3 piece design. On the simple side the Growth Spurt is a 3 size adjustable boot either from 18-21.5 or 22-25.5. However, what makes the Growth Spurt a true Full Tilt is the single ribbed tongue and unrestricted hinge on the cuff. These combine to make a boot that fits very snug with great ankle support that can actually be flexed and skied properly by smaller riders. Inside of the shell FT uses a Quick Fit liner which is body heat activated to provide a perfect mold of the skiers foot. Body heat activated means the liner will change as the foot does so ankle retention and fit is not sacrificed over the years. This fit also adds a great deal of comfort and tremendous warmth to keep you grom out skiing all day, or at least until you tire out. While the adjustibility of the boot does add a significant amount of weight it is ideal for the progressing intermediate junior skier while their foot is trying to bankrupt you. The binding used will need to be readjusted each time the boot is adjusted in size to ensure the safety of the skier.
