About Dakine

Dakine was founded in 1979 by Rob Kaplan when he began manufacturing a stronger surf leash in Hawaii. Dakine soon entered the snowboard and winter glove market, and in 1996, Dakine backpacks were discovered. Now 29 years after the stronger leash was discovered Dakine sells a variety of products that can always be trusted.
