The shell material is made of a Taslan Nylon material that is very durable and tough while providing protection from the cold temperatures and the cold winds. The Sure grip palms help with dexterity, so the poles can be held if skiing, or the board secure with each pick up. There is a waterproof membrane material called Dritex that will keep fingers and hands warm and dry. Comfort is also important to toddlers and for parents, keeping mittens on a toddler can be a struggle, not any more.
