K2 Fatty Ski Boards 2010 |
The K2 Fatty ski boards were originally designed for intermediate or more advanced use can also be a great teaching tool for newer ski boarders. These ski boards are designed with a wider chassis for improved flotation in soft snow, but they are narrow enough for better hard snow performance. The K2 comes with a non-release able binding that fits all boots up to 14 and the binding adjusts without tools. The manufacturer states: To reduce the risk of injury, do not use for anyone under 5 feet tall, especially children.

The boards are very easy to learn to ski and I like them better than traditional skis, however the new bootings and straps were a little different to get use to.

Very happy with the quality of the skis. It's summer so it will be quite awhile before they are used but judging from the quality of the skis they should be fun and easy to use.

Comments about K2 Fatty Ski Boards 2010:
Great Snowblades! Wish i bought them here cause I would have saved some $$ but oh well. Aside from that I love them, they carve well and they are extremely light compared to the skis that I have used. Stability can be an issue at higher speeds due to their length but that's no problem on groomed trails. One thing I like to point out is the non-release bindings. If you are unsure how you should adjust them, let a ski shop take care of adjusting them. If the bindings come loose while riding, they aren't adjusted right. (Called non release for a reason)

This ski board is lightweight and responsive. It can carve very well. Not as durable as other ski boards such as sno-blades but much more responsive due to its width and weight. Excellent skiis for beginners.

Comments about K2 Fatty Ski Boards 2010:
I am a 52 year old terminally intermediate skier looking to feel more confident skiing the trees. My husband and daughters are accomplished glade skiers, but I have always been too slow and too fearful of catching my 153s on a tree as I have always been a groomer gal. These got me into the woods and took my fear away. They are blast to play on and I'll probably get a second pair for non-skiing guest to try.I paid almost $100 less for these skiboards on Skis.com than anywhere else online[...]

Comments about K2 Fatty Ski Boards 2010:
Bought the product in March and used it in Spring Conditions. They worked great, even though I did not get to try them out in any real wooded areas (glades) or powder - the snow just softened up throughout the day. But, they are a great pair of Ski Boards. Very Lightweight, Durable, Easy to Ride, but most importantly FUN. I have no doubt I will be using them many more times next Ski Season.
