The Elan GSX Waveflex Fusion is a great race ski or high powered carving ski for the high school racer or beer league all star who likes a longer turn radius, and power with every turn. A Waveflex Zone has waves along the shovel of the ski that give it a smooth and easy longitudinal flex, while maintaining a stiff torsional flex so you have a ski that will hook up to turn quickly, and give you power behind every turn. The Response Frame Wood Core is laminated tip to tail giving you direct power transmission, and optimal torsional stability, due to the combination of a hardwood frame around a softer wood center. The Dual Ti laminate gives you powerful edge grip, especially on firm snow or the ruts that you will find on the course. A carbon layer is lightweight and strong, and adds reinforcement to the ski for spring and pop, for quicker edging. RST Sidewalls have vertically placed ABS material vertically over the edges of the ski from tip to tail; to give you direct power transmission from your boots to your skis. The new Fusion binding system is 15% lighter than before. If you are looking for a non-FIS giant slalom ski the Elan GSX Waveflex will power you to the finish line.

2013 Elan GSX Waveflex Ski Review
Comments:
Hey this is Luke. I just finished skiing the Elan Waveflex 14. I give this 4 out of 5 stars. I think this is going to be great for you intermediate through advanced intermediate level skiers that are looking to get up on the groomers and make some nice turns. I found it very stable very easy to initiate turns just overall a nice carving ski. Definitely likes the shorter turns, I have no problem making longer turns and definitely good for the groomers, check it out guys.

Q: what is the base edge bevel?
Asked : Feb 13, 2013
By : Racer, USA
Know the answer? Answer this question

A: This ski comes stock with a 1 degree base bevel. If you are looking to go with a .75-.7 it is easy to reduced the angle without removing much material but going to a .5 will require more work.
