I purchased these shoes because I needed a shoe to wear with warm socks to run errands in snowy weather. Moving from a warmer climate, I had nothing in my wardrobe, and these shoes are perfect. They have larger treads that make me feel secure in parking lots and sloping driveways. I don't think it's a heavy, bulky shoe, and it looks cute with my jeans.The price may be more than you expected to pay, but it appears to be a quality shoe, and you get what you pay for.
