The Nike Comfort Boot Boy's Recreational Ice Skate is a warmer more comfortable option to a traditional hockey skate. This skate utilizes a quick pull lacing system so it is considerably easier for kids to get their own skates laced tight. The Comfort Boot does have a hockey blade, which is more rounded than a figure skate blade and does not have a toe pick. Because of the comfort features, this skate is going to be much softer flexing than traditional hockey skates. Therefore, it is not for competitive or organized hockey; but will be great fun for pond skating or other recreational use.

Son loves the skates and wears them around the house since they are so cool and comfortable! He is a beginner so how can you go wrong with boots that fit and wear like street shoes with the fleece lining for comfort! Way better than rink skates any day! This was a no-brainer. HIs street shoes are a solid 12 and he has chubby feet, he wears a 13 rink skate and we pikced up the 1's. No way I would have bought smaller.
