The SL Magnesium Jr was built to help young skiers develop into talented racers with all the care and passion that adult race skis see. As a result the SL Magnesium is a hard charging race board perfect for strong junior skiers as well as smaller teens and high school racers that do not have to follow FIS regulations. Starting with a sandwich sidewall construction the SL Magnesium has the guts of a proper race ski giving it enormous edge hold not matter how steep, icy, or rutted a course gets. To give the SL Magnesium the power it needs to be a fast acting slalom ski it gets a full wood core with two layers of magnesium to create a very lively ski with a damp feel to help keep the ski grounded to the snow. On top Blizzard place a Marker Junior Race Plate for extra leverage to amplify the construction of the ski and promote a more natural flex for better edge connectivity tip to tail. Note that because of the Junior Race Plate the SL Magnesium requires a Marker Comp Series binding. For racers that compete in USSA and other FIS sanctioned events the SL Magnesium complies with FIS J3 and J4 regulations.
