Comments about Rollerblade Fusion X5 Urban Inline Skates 2010:
I was in the market for a new pair of skates and I had heard numerous stories about how good urban/street skates were and decided to try a pair. I only skate for exercise and I found these skates to provide me w/ an excellent alternative to running or using the elliptical machine at the gym. The skates provide a nice, comfortable fit. They are a bit heavy but nothing to discourage me from continued use. The speed seems to be good as I don't have to work hard to get going. I have used the skates around 20 to 30 times and they are holding up quite well.

Comments about Rollerblade Fusion X5 Urban Inline Skates 2010:
Well, I bought this skates for freestyle slalom. It's not flexible to make turns, which is important for slalom. But I know it's not fusion X5's fault. It's not designed for slalom. The wheels are of the same size, which makes it hard to turn. After I replace front and back wheels, which make the wheels like o-O-O-o, it becomes perfect! It's really fast! I think it's perfect if you only want it for street skating. The skates are a little bit too wide for me, because I'm a girl.

Comments about Rollerblade Fusion X5 Urban Inline Skates 2010:
I'm a male professional ice skating instructor. I purchased the x5 roller blades to skate with my pitbull and street skate. My normal shoe size is 10.5 so I bought 9.5 skate size and they fit snug and perfect. When I spin the wheels with my hands they turn for 20+ seconds easy so for an intermediate to advanced skater they have good hubs for speed.

I got the slow free shipping and it came to my place in 2 days. I dunno if I'm just lucky because of my location (st. louis) but the delivery was great.

Comments about Rollerblade Fusion X5 Urban Inline Skates 2010:
I started rollerblading in the early 90's and had always loved to skate with the older Rollerblade Lighting TRS's growing up. One day while looking up some of the different skates online and trying to find something that would be similar to the lighting TRS, I came across a couple of reviews that had compared the X5 to the old school TRS, so I decided to give them a try, [...] began skating as soon as I got them. I was very satisfied with how comfortable, quick, and what great support they provided, the only thing that I can maybe complain about is the strapping system, the older TRS just had the laces and then the strap at the top, but this system had two straps, I did not really care for the midway strap plus the skate provide enough support without it so I just took it off, easy to do just use the allen wrench that comes with the skates to remove the strap. For the most part I love these skate and can see me using these for many years to come.

The skates are great for urban skating. They hug your ankle well and tight while still the boot is soft and comfortable. They feel quite sturdy and are not too heavy compared to aggressive skates. They seemed too slow from the beginning but that will improve if you use them.
I love the skates and I hope they will have a nice long life with me :)
Service and delivery comments:
The delivery was great. They arrived as scheduled. Tracking was simple and I would never worry about ordering from this store again. The communication with the store is excellent too, you get an answer promptly and from a real person not just some kind of a pre-written answer for FAQs. Thumbs up!!!!!

Comments about Rollerblade Fusion X5 Urban Inline Skates 2010:
These are replacing my very aged Lightning TRS.
I like everything about them except for the buckle system, which seems just too involved when putting them on. Each variable (laces, buckle, velcro) seems to get in the way of the other. The support is very good, but there must be a better way.
The fit seemed pretty narrow for my feet (which are on the wide side, admittedly), but I feel that less and less as I wear them more.
As far as performance, they were pretty right almost right off the bat, without the usual initial wear I usually had to put on the wheels with the TRS, and despite the bigger wheels (I had 72mm before). The short frame is awesome.

Well lets see I was a beginner before i got these skates. While they are for advanced/intermediate skaters i felt up to the challenge. well i still have a little trouble with the fit since i can never get the top strap to be tight enough. But,going downhills is the best feeling ever you really feel like you are flying. I just wish I started skating earlier so i can do all the cool tricks they do in the videos of these things. But, i love these skates and will treat them good because they are a big investment. i got the package deal so i got a good deal. My only complaint again is not getting the velcro strap to be tight enough. my foot wobbles front n back when im standing so its a little problem. but overall love these skates

These are great skates. I am also of the Lightning Genere. I just out grew them...*sigh*. To clear up some misconception, these skates have the 243 frame for sizes 10.5 and under and the 273 for 11 and up. Super solid skates and summit has resolved the weird color skate issues - I verified this when I called in my order. Mine were the all black model and after some breaking in seem to be just fine. I wear a 10.5 shoe but ordered 11.5 skates. I have wide feet and sizing up one size seems to be working for me. I will be buying some 90 mm wheels so I can rocker them. I would rather go up in size than down. Only downfall to these skates is the inability to have built in rockering. The velcro on the top of the boot could fit better too - seems too short...but great skates! Quite solid.
