If you want the best in backcountry and sidecountry performance do the simple thing and go with the ski chosen more often than any other, the Armada JJ. Rocking the patented EST Freeride Rocker, sizable tip and tail rocker with slight camber underfoot, and a 115mm waist profile the JJ has the dimensions to float in blower powder with the ability to seamlessly transition to busted crud without having to back off. Since the JJ uses an Hybrid Ultralight Core combined with AR50 construction it is astonishingly lightweight and very nimble for a ski with this much girth, perfect for big spins on BC booters, tight technical lines, or anything really. Adding a CK Stringer adds pop to the JJ for extra boost off lips and power finishing turns while a laminate matrix helps balance the overall flex and provides some damping as well. There is good reason the JJ is one of the most popular backcountry/freestyle skis out there, it performs at a level that will never leave you asking for more.

Great ski. Much more versatile than I had expected. Skis groomers decently for such a large ski.
Used free shipping option but did not know at the time that it was UPS Surepost. This complicated things because we live in a very rural area and our physical address is not the same as our mailing address (a PO box which was not an allowed option). With the help of the UPS driver I intercepted the shipment before it entered the USPS system where it surely would have gotten lost. It would have helped if I knew beforehand it was UPS surepost and I would have paid the extra for conventional 100% UPS or FedEx. Things did work our okay in the end.

Hey, this is Trey with Armada's JJ. A classic improved again this year. This is a fantastic ski. I give it 4 out of 5 stars. It's one of the most stable pure powder skis out there. Very versatile, you can turn it quick in the trees if you need to. And when it starts snowing like it is now, it just excels you to do anything you want on it. You never have to think about it. You can never get yourself in trouble with this ski.

Hey! This is Thom. I'm here with the Armada JJ. I give this ski four out of five stars. It comes back pretty much unchanged. Faster for you, but just a real easy, fun, and playful ski. Definitely not for your guy who's going to be on hard pack. A real short radius, but you guys who are spending the vast majority of his time off piste in crud or deep snow and wants a ski that can have a really freestyle feel about. It something that's comfortable switch as it is forward. They are going to be really really pleased with these.

Hi and Kevin. I just got off the Armada JJ. This ski sold-out early last year and it's gonna sellout early again cause this is one of the most versatile skis on the market. This ski can literally do it all. It rips on the hardpacked, it floats in the powder, it busts through crud, you can make long turns, short turns, anything you want. You can even do runs through the park on it. Just hands-down, name of the game versatility at its finest. Five out of five stars. It's definitely for advanced-intermediate all the way up to an expert. So it's got a really broad performance range on it. This ski is awesome. I love it.

Hey, Hunter here with the Armada JJ in a 185, and I give this ski 3 out of 5 stars. I'd like to preface it by saying a lot of that is what I look for in a ski. The JJ is a great ski for someone who likes to pivot their turn. Someone who wants something they can slide and break free very easily. If you wanted to make a turn on a dime in the trees and soft snow, it's an awesome choice for that. I personally prefer a ski roll over on the edge and stand on and get that more traditional cambered ski edge grip. If that's what you're into, the JJ might not be the best option for you. But if you want a really pivoty, loose, fun to slide around on ski, the JJ is a good choice.

Comments about Armada JJ Skis 2012:
I'm Adam, and I was just skiing on the Armada JJ. A lot of tip and tail rocker in this guy, and it had a little bit of tip taper. It is kind of surfy and floaty in the powder, but it's really not going to hold up very well in the hard pack. It's not very stable, but if you like to smear or skid your turns, it's a little more up your alley. I give it a 3 out of 5.
