Product Description

K2 returns again with Seth Morrison's pro model the Obsethed. Seth himself designed this ski to be a big mountain hard charger. A unique blend of Powder Rocker in the tip, All Terrain Rocker in the tail, and slight camber underfoot the Obsethed can take on any condition imaginable. At 117mm underfoot, and Twin Tech Sidewalls, the Obsethed can definitely float in the deep stuff, but can easily manage the crud, broken snow, and the occasional groomer on the way back to the cat or tram. Pre-installed hardware for K2's precut climbing skins, the Obsethed can be used as a touring ski, built for getting down the mountain as fast and aggressive as you can. If you like standing on top of a gnarly cirque after climbing a long way, or getting dropped off by an A-Star the Obsethed is your ski.

Comments about K2 Obsethed Skis 2012:

I'm Adam. I just Skied on the K2 Obsethed for this season. Very predictable out of K2 this year but it's also a really, really fun ski. It likes to be on edge and still be stable, really surfy and floaty in the powder. Pretty versatile in any kind of conditions so it's a real good all Mountain ski for being 117 under foot. I give it 4/5 stars.

Hey It's Hunter here with the K2 Obsethed and I give this ski 4/5 stars. I like it because it's a wide platform with a lot of stability. The tip rocker does not get in the way, the ski does not clap at speed but it's still really easy to make a short and medium radius turn on it. I would almost say playful, it's a ski you can go fast on. It doesn't punish you when you want to take it easy a bit. If you're a big mountain skier looking for something you can ski all day that does not take all your effort every minute it's a great option.

Hey I'm Kevin. I just got off the K2 Obsethed. Really good all mountain, big mountain ski, powder ski that can still handle all mountain but they changed it up a little bit this year. Still got the powder rocker in the tip but they put the all-terrain rocker in the tail so the tail is not as flappy. Feels like a little bit more ski under your foot for sure this year. I didn't like last year's because it felt like there wasn't enough ski on the snow and now with them taking the tail rise down a little bit to the all-terrain rocker it definitely feels like you have more ski underfoot. So a lot more versatile ski, definitely handles on hardpacked really well now. Still with that powder rocker you're going to be able to to ski the pow without any problems so it's kind of back to where it originally was as a versatile true all mountain powder ski. This ski gets 4/5 stars.

Hi this is Thom. I'm here with the K2 Obsethed. I'm going to give this ski 3/5 stars. A wide ski, lots of rocker to the tip so it's definitely your pow crud deep snow type ski. I just think in this particular category in at 115 to120 waist there's quite a few other skis out there that are more versatile than this but if you're looking for something that's going to charge and give you good strong GS turns, it's a great choice.

Hi Trey with K2's new Obsethed. I'm going to give this ski four out of five stars. Definitely a serious big Mountain ski you only want to be riding it in the crud, powder and running big lines across open faces and bowls. This ski excels you know lift served on the groomers, it holds well enough but it's really not that happy, it really wants to be out in ungroomed and untracked terrain. 4/5 stars.
