Rossignol Super 7 Skis 2012 |
Not for the faint of heart. The Rossignol S7 is available in a more human size this season in a 188cm. A favorite among local rippers in Little Cottonwood Canyon, Jackson, and other resorts where the performance of a big, stiff, rockered plank matters. Rossignol's Powder Turn Rocker is fifty percent low camber underfoot, with the remaining fifty percent of the tip and tail have high rocker. The blend of rocker and camber makes deep pow days a dream, without losing any turning ability on the hard pack when it is time to get back to spin another tram lap. The 117mm waist, pin tail, and spoon tip make the Super 7 smear big huge arcs in any snow condition, without sinking or getting torqued around. The titanal layers make the Super 7 ideal for the skier that goes big and fast all day. The Super 7 can be too much ski for some people, but for the right skiers it will be the only ski they will ever need. It has developed a cult following for a reason. If your day includes hairball steep line, a cliff huck or two, or skiing mach 5 get the Rossignol Super 7 while you can.

Hi this is Trey with Rossignols Super S7. The S7 was one of the most popular skis last year because it's so versatile. This is the same ski but really, really beefed up. A lot of titinal in it, super, super stable. Definitely designed for the bigger bomber type skier. Definitely advanced to expert skiers. Amazingly enough you can turn it pretty quick when you need to but what's really fun is just ripping big wide turns across open faces or open bowls. I give it a 4/5.

Hi I'm Thom and I'm here with the Rossignol super S7. I'm gonna give this thing a 4/5, not because it's not stable or really a rockstar of a ski. It skis like an absolute freight train but even for a big guy like me it does take a lot of work. You gotta be really committed to skiing hard, being aggressive and wanting to power through your ski. Lighter weight skiers are going to have a real tough time with it but anybody that's just looking for a ski that can literally run anything in It's way over and looking for that freight train stability will be really really pleased.

Hey I'm Kyle, here I just got off the Rossignol S7. This ski was a lot of fun. It held pretty well on the hardpack but, you know, it's really made for more or less a lot more soft snow. But it definitely held It's own on the groomers and stuff like that. It's a ski you can definitely find the powder stash and stuff and get back to the chairlift on those groomers easily. I give it 4.5/5.

Hi I'm Kevin, I just got off the brand-new Rossignol Super S7. This is a new size for them this year, they added the 188. This thing is an absolute beast. You gotta be Superman to ski these things. I'm only 150 pounds and I would not want to ski this thing all day. I might be able to manage it on some wide open bowls where I had a lot of room to run but for somebody my size to get this ski to turn it requires a lot of work. If you're on the lighter weight side you're definitely better off going the regular S7. I've got a pair of those and I love em. This thing gets a zero rating for forgiveness from me, for somebody my size it gets an absolute five in stability but it's a lot of work. So I have to give this ski 2/5 stars. If you're a big dude you'd probably give it five out of five stars and I mean somebody who is 200+ and a very aggressive skier.

Hey It's Hunter here with the Rossignol Super 7. I have it in a 188 and I recommend this ski for all mountain chargers who want something a little more nimble than the 195 Super 7. Even though the ski has a substantial amount of tip and tail rocker it's still unflappable at speed and manageable on the groomers. Just a great all-around go fast big mountain board, highly recommend it.

Hi I'm Charlie with the Rossignol Super S7. I have to give this ski about 2/5 stars for somebody my weight. It makes it really hard to turn, It's pretty much a tank out there on the slopes. You really just can't engage it. If you're a little bit heavier of a guy it will be a perfect ski for you. It'll handle any weight you want, it'll do all Mountain, it can do anything you want with it. It's just not the right ski for the advanced intermediate or somebody a little lighter.

I'm Adam and I'm skiing on the Rossi Super 7 right here. It's big stiff strong really kind of for someone that's going to ski in variable snow, broken snow quite a bit. Has the amptech to it so if you're lighter weight or less aggressive definitely go down to the Rossi S7 but if you're bigger, faster, stronger jump on the Super .7 I give it five out of five stars.

I am 6'2" and 220 lbs. I currently live in the east but spent 6 years in Jackson Hole. I bought these skiis last year for powder and a trip to Snowbird, In addition to powder, I ended up skiing them on hardpack, moguls and corn because they are so much fun. They have surprisingly good grip on hardpack with just a bit of chatter at high speeds. Of course, they excel in powder and feel shorter than 195 cm.

Comments about Rossignol Super 7 Skis 2012:
If you like more of a soft ski then the S7 might be better for you. This ski is made for riding really hard all day from top to bottom. For someone who likes a stiff rockered ski that doesn't wash out easily. I rocked these on groomers and side stashes in the trees. You could bust threw the crud without losing any speed and really carve them out and hold them on their edge, even though they're really wide at 117 underfoot. With the rockered tip and tail you can turn them so easy and it feel like you're riding a shorter ski only with more stability. This ski is more of a powder ski but don't think you won't end up riding it for all over the mountain.
