When it is time for a hike up to Cardiac Ridge and you want to make sure that you have strength and power on the way down, use the new Salomon Quest 14. Salomon answers the call this year for skiers who demanded a stiffer sidecountry boot. A 130 flex and 55mm strap have all of the power and drive for the way down, with the comforts of a sidecountry boot. The Salomon My Custom Fit Racing liner is stiff and supportive and resists packing out. The 100mm last is narrow enough for a precise fit, but wide enough for the bootpack up Teton Pass. A new thicker and more insulated bootboard provides some shock absorbing ability, and added warmth. The Salomon Ride and Hike Technology releases the upper cuff from the lower, gives you a broader range of motion, for easier hiking. The Double Dismantable Canting System will help you dial in your alignment, or customize the flex. The Quest 14 has a stiff flex for power on the way down, and comfort on the way up. As always do not leave the safety of the ski resort without a shovel, probe, transceiver, partner, and the knowledge to use them.
