What that means for our wide footed friends is the Phoenix 14 is a 106mm wide boot with a tall instep, which will fit feet that should be considered paws, while still providing correct closure and a supportive wrap. Between offering a supportive wrap and a 110 flex shell Tecnica does something rare in ski boots by creating a high volume fit that is actually a true high performance boot, and just because the Phoenix 14 is a H.V.L. doesn't mean you lose out anywhere else. Inside the Phoenix 14 is the H.V.L. HiPerFit Liner, a dense and heat moldable foam, for a supportive fit and quick response and on the outside you get all the normal options. Cuff alignment, four microadjustable buckles, a 35mm powerstrap, and the Delta Force flex adjustment give you all everything you need to dial the Phoenix 14 H.V.L. in perfectly for your enormous foot.
