Atomic Crimson TI Skis with XTO 12 Protrak Bindings 2012 |
Returning for this season the Crimson Ti gets a fresh new look with the same powerful guts. As an all-mountain ski for aggressive or advanced skiers that tend to ski more groomed or harder packed snow, due to choice or location, the Crimson Ti is hard to beat. With an 88mm waist the Crimson Ti is certainly wide enough to handle smaller fresh dumps, eat up crud crust and chop, and remain super fast edge to edge to dominate hardpacked and groomed snow. To make the Crimson Ti powerful and precise a full wood core with a titanium layer is combined with Step Down Sidewall construction. Working together this construction creates huge torsional stiffness for unfailing edge hold at any speed while still keeping the tip and tail slightly softer for instant and precise turn initiation. While that would be enough for most skis Atomic hit it out of the park by adding Adaptive Rocker to the tip of the Crimson Ti. By building slight rise into the tip the Crimson requires less power to drive but does not lose any power or smoothness and it helps the ski plane on top of crud and crust helping with floatation and the off-piste performance of the Crimson Ti. So, the Crimson Ti is a rock solid ski that helps keep your legs fresh and will charge in any direction you point it, grip it and rip it.

First time I skied them it was in Minnesota frozen crud after a warm spell. No chatter, held a great edge, and performed better than expected since they are 10 cm's shorter than my last skis. I can't wait to try them out West in powder in a couple weeks.

Hi, I'm Thom. I'm here with the Atomic Crimson. It's in their nomad series, 88 underfoot. Has a little bit of rocker to the tip of it. I think it's a five out of five. It is a fantastic ski, you don't have to drive it really hard. But when you do stand on it, it's right there for you. You can change your turn shape when ever you feel like it and it will go from long radius to short radius and back and forth as often as you need it to. Just a real lively, real fun ski that I would put any one from that aspiring advanced skier to a high level expert carver on, that's looking to primarily ski hard pack but does like to go venture off trail from time to time.

Kyle here, with the Atomic Crimson TI. This one is a really fun ski, if you are on groomers or anything like that. It holds an edge really good, you can pretty much lock it into the turn and let it go whenever you want. Since it has that layered titanium, it it's really lively and gives you the power that you pretty much put into it every time. I give this ski a solid 4 stars out of five.

Hey, I'm Kevin. I just got off the Atomic Crimson TI. It's a carry over ski from Atomic. But it's still one of the best all mountain skis out there on the market. Very versatile waist width, very very stable. Great edge grip you can take this ski in choppy snow, hardpacked it just rips on. Very smooth, great ski for the advanced, intermediate to expert level skier. Not the easiest going ski, its smooth edge to edge. It does require a little bit more work than some of the other skis out there. But if you are willing to put in the work, it'll benefit you greatly this gets five out of five stars.

Hey everyone, its Fidel. I just came from Atomic's Crimson Ti in a 178 length. Loved this ski, really likes to go fast. You've got the adaptive rocker in the tip to initiate turns, real smooth, real easy. Stepdown sidewalls, really transfers energy right to the edge. Holds its edge extremely well, loved it for that front side, going as fast as you can, laying down those big turns. I loved it give it a five out of five'

This is Evan, with the Atomic Crimson TI. I really like this ski, I give it a 4 1/2 out of five. Really solid underfoot, it's got a step down side wall so it holds an edge very good. You can put a lot of trust into your turns on this ski. It's going to be very versatile, definitely for that skier who is charging all over the mountain.

Hi, there is no clover on this hill today, but this is the Crimson Atomic TI ski. Titanium layered ski, 78 mm wide, in a 178 length. My name is EJ, I really rocked on this baby. I would probably ski this shorter myself, just because I really dig shorter turn radius skis. But I feel very confident carving on the ski with a GS style carve. Yet I could do some nice vatal carves on it. This ski is beckoning to go find some powder somewhere, this is a five star rated ski for me. Atomic is really rocking it this season, great bang for the buck to, so have a good time and rock on.

Hi, I'm Charlie with the Atomic's new Crimson TI. I'm going to give this ski five out of five stars. This is a super stable ski, it's a great all mountain ski. With the partial sidewall on it, holds an edge all day, you can make any big fast turn that you want to do. But if you put a little power into it, it still makes that quick snappy responsive of a ski. This is the perfect ski for the midwest, groomers and everything else that you might want to do.
