Product Description

The Outland 80 Pro is a brand new ski from Dynastar aimed at casual advanced to expert skiers looking for strong carving performance with an all-mountain feel. By building the Outland 80 Pro around an 80mm waist it is set up to favor groomed and on trail conditions with a quick edge to edge feel with gobs of rebound energy. To help transfer this energy to the snow the Outland 80 Pro uses a 3D wood core, which is thicker over the shoulders of the ski and thinner throughout the middle, funneling the power into the edges of the ski for solid edge grip at any speed. To harness the rebound energy Super Fiber, a weave of basalt and aramid fibers through the fiberglass surrounding the core, evens out the pop for a very lively rebound and dampens vibration to keep the ski in contact with the snow helping the edge grip. Autodrive Fluid X also comes into play, providing sidewalls underfoot increasing torsional stiffness and therefore edge hold, and a metal binding plate with rubber dampers for a fluid flex tip to tail for a more consistent pop and rebound. While all edge grip and pop makes for a great on trail ski where the Outland 80 Pro gets its off trail versatility is from the all-mountain rocker, slight tip and tail rocker making up 30 percent of the ski. It allows the Outland 80 Pro to plane over choppy snow and light powder with ease for a stable and predictable feel, increases mobility by making turn initiation easier, and because the whole edge engages while in a carve does not reduce the power or edge hold. While the Outland 80 Pro is geared more towards frontside skiers it provides plenty of off piste performance for hard charging skiers who spend some time off the trail as well.

Hi, Trey here with Dynastars brand new Outland 80 Pro. A lot of technology going on in the ski and it works. I'm giving this ski four out of five stars. I think it's good for an intermediate to even a casual expert skier. Generally from the mountain, ripping on groomers, on the blues and blacks. No problem at all in the transition between turns and extremely stable at higher speeds.

Hi, I'm Thom. I'm here with the Dynastar Outland 80 Pro. New ski for Dynastar this year. I give it 4/5 stars. Really stable, easy initiation, not the most poppy or lively ski, that's kind of why it got a little of a deduction there. But one thing that I really did love about this ski is when you stand on it, It's right there for you. I'm a bigger guy and I was not able to push through it. Which is usually a good sign for this ski being stable and predictable, had a lot of fun with it. Anybody who's your front side carver looking for something smooth with easy initiation that they're not going to have to worry about edge hold. This is a great ski.

Hi, I'm Steve and I just got off the Outland 80 Pro. This ski is five out of five stars it really impressed me. It is the best Dynastar ski I have ever skied, I've skied Dynastars in the past. I never really liked them at least for me. I know some people love them, but I never really quite found the one I liked, but this is. This ski, skied amazing it carved, it hugged, it transitioned really good from edge to edge. I went as fast as I could on it and it was solid and stable. It didn't get any chatter on it whatsoever. I would strongly recommend this for that skier who want to stay mid wide ski. 80 mm mostly hard pack in the light fluff conditions. I wouldn't recommend it for an out west skier, you would probably want more width. But someone who is Midwest or East Coast who wants to ski in any of those kinds of conditions. It's the best ski I've skied all day.

Hi, I'm Kevin. I just got off the brand new Dynastar Outland 80 Pro. I thought this was a big step up for Dynastar this year. They got a little bit of rocker in the tip, vertical sidewall. Soft core makes it ski a lot lighter, a lot more lively than Dynastar has been in the past. Typically Dynastar's in the past were just kind of EHHH. They don't have a lot to them, they are not very poppy. This one got's a lot more pop, much smoother still very stable like Dynastar have been in the past. But just a lot more lively, a lot quicker on edge it seemed. So I give this ski four out of five stars. It's going to be good for the guy who wants to go out and prove the front side. Maybe do a little bit of cruddy snow, blues, blacks, and intermediate all the way up to the advanced skier.

How are we doing today? This is Jeff today, were on the Dynastar Outland 80 Pro. This ski is phenomenal this thing is a ball to ride in a 178. This thing is just an all mountain ripper whether you want to throw big S. turns at it. Wanna throw some short quick slaloms at it this thing is just a fantastic ride. I give it a solid 4/5 stars. I had a great time riding this, did whole bunch of different turns. Different styles of riding you can ski this ski from anywhere from a solid intermediate to advanced level skier and not have a single issue.

Hey, it's Hans with the Dynastar Outland 80 Pro. It's a partial sidewall it means underneath foot its sidewall. Front tip and tail it's cap construction, will initiate turns easier. It's a great ski for your aspiring intermediate up to your very advanced skier. It'll do anything you want to do. I give this ski four out of five, and it will take you anywhere you want to go.

Hi, I'm EJ and I'm here with the Dynastar 80 Pro in a 178 length ski. This ski is designed for at least advanced skiers to expert level skier. It's stable underfoot but not very agile. It kind of has a dead feel under the front end. That is a little heaviness so you lose the sense of agility but you do gain some stability at speed. So if you want to carve GS turns and bash through some crud this ski might be the ski for you. It's only rated 3 stars by this carving oriented skier however.
