Dynastar Outland 80 XT Skis with NX 12 Fluid Bindings 2012 |
The Outland 80 XT is another brand new ski from Dynastar for this season for frontside all mountain skiers. Sharing the same platform as it's big brother (the Pro) the 80 XT uses an 80mm waist to offer a quick edge to edge feel and good rebound just with a softer overall feel to make it a more forgiving and mellow. This makes the Outland 80 XT great for athletic intermediate to casual advanced skiers who want the precision feel of a performance ski but don't want to be punished for small missteps. By using 3D construction the Outland 80 XT retains great edge grip and a low swing weight so it is nimble and solid underfoot and has Super Fiber, a basalt and aramid weave, to dampen vibrations and control the rebound energy for consistent and balanced pop. To add the all-mountain feel to the 80 XT all mountain rocker flares up the tip and tail rocker 30 percent of the ski, which allows the ski to glide over crud and light powder and makes for easier but more precise turn initiation. The Outland 80 XT is a great blend of performance when you want it and forgiveness when you need it for cruising and charging the whole mountain.

Trey, with the Dynastar Outland 80 XT. I'm going to give this 4/5 stars. I think it's a real solid intermediate ski for dad. Somebody who's skiing maybe 15 to 20 days a year. Maybe out West once, predominantly in the Midwest or on the East Coast. It's stable at 80 under foot you can get through the crud. Definitely responsive enough to were you can have some fun on it if you want but it doesn't demand anything out of you.

Thom here, with the Dynastar Outland 80 XT. Really cool ski from Dynastar this year, full sidewall construction, little bit of rocker up in the shovel. I give this thing five out of five. For [$] ski this thing can absolutely rip a turn. Real confident on edge, short and long radius are both really easy with this. I would definitely recommend this to someone who's a higher level intermediate skier. Or a real athletic beginner who's looking to get one ski that has a little bit more all mountain versatility that they can have for a while and really be happy with.

Hi, this is Luke. I just finished skiing the Dynastar Outland 80 XT. I give this ski 3/5 stars. I would have given it the 3 because I think, I skied it in a little bit longer length then what is actually appropriate for me. Nice stable platform 80mm underfoot you can really take this ski anywhere. Pretty lightweight, got a nice vertical sidewall underneath the binding so it's got a lot of energy. The longer length, it actually required me to muscle more to turn it. If had I gotten it'll shorter length I probably would've enjoyed it much more. Check it Outland 80 XT.

Hi, I am EJ. I'm here with the Dynastar Outland XT in a 176 length. Stable under foot that's the buy word for this ski. Not so quick acting and responsive for responsive mogul skiing. But I think anyone who looks for cruising under crud conditions and blasting through it, will have a great time. Stability underfoot again are the buy words for the ski. This black beauty is for you, if you're looking for speed with confidence on edge.
