The Waveflex 78 is so perfectly middle of the road it should be a politician. Built for frontside and hard packed snow performance, the Waveflex 78 is a fantastic ski whether you are an athletic intermediate through a casual advanced skier. Starting, as all Waveflex skis do, with Waveflex technology, the 78's flex pattern is balanced to offer seemingly endless edge hold without having an overbearing stiffness to it. A full RST sidewall profile serve to bolster the edge feel and add some quickness edge to edge as well, so no matter how icy the snow manages to get the Waveflex 78 will grip for you. While Waveflex technology provides the backbone, the 78 gets its soul from a Power Woodcore running tip to tail. The core gives the 78 a light, poppy and powerful feel to help keep the turn initiation light and accurate without being demanding. With all of this the Waveflex 78 ends up being both smooth and powerful, quick but forgiving, it walks a straight line up the middle. The Waveflex 78 is left with a very approachable nature that can build confidence as well as be a solid ski for almost all of the skiing constituency.

Comments about Elan Waveflex 78 Skis with EL 11.0 Fusion Bindings 2012:
Bought last spring and used them in the full winter conditions we had in NE. Skied the woods, steeps, wide open blues. This year with little to none of the natural stuff they are holding a good edge but not like a GS racer. Very solid in quick turn, fall line runs. Love a wood core ski.
