K2 A.M.P. Impact Skis with Marker/K2 MX 11.0 TC Bindings 2012 |
New from K2 this season is the A.M.P. Impact. Designed for the advanced intermediate this new ski has K2's All Terrain Rocker (rocker in the tip with camber underfoot), and an 80mm waist. Tip rocker helps the ski plane on top of powder, engage the edge quicker on the groomers, and deflect the negative energy that is caused by bumps and crud. Hybritech sidewalls, and a progressive sidecut ensure that when the snow is firm or icy you have a solid grip on things. A triaxial braid, and Carbon Web give the Impact torsional rigidity without adding extra weight. MOD and MOD Monic technology smooth out the ride, and reduce vibrations so the Impact can go any where, on piste or off. The Marker/K2 MX binding system give the ski an nice even deep flex. The Impact is a great value for the advanced intermediate who will like to do it all groomers, trees, powder and bumps, grab one of these new skis today while supplies last.

This is Hans with the K2 Impact. The K2 Impact, a ski without metal so it's got a lot of pop to it. It will initiate a turn quick, it's more designed short to medium radius turns. Probably a ski that is great for the Midwest. If you take it out West it will work but as soon as the snow gets a little bit softer it will probably dig a little bit, again, designed for probably intermediate to advanced skier but it skied with a lot of pop and you can get better on this. I give it 4/5.

Hi I'm Charlie. I'm here with K2's new Impact. I'm going to give this ski four out of five stars with the new sidewall in it and all terrain rocker it turns really easy but it's got enough pop there to it for any intermediate to advanced skier. It's great for somebody that's just getting into the intermediate maybe up to the advanced. Really easy to engage the turns and it will hold it pretty well edge.

Hi I'm EJ. I'm with the K2 Impact. This ski in a 167 length and 80 mm wide underfoot. It was a very playful and responsive ski. I think this ski would be great for stronger intermediates or even lightweight intermediates who are on their way up who want to explore all over the mountain and it will have great potential for them to improve their bump skiing and to learn about skiing off piste. I would give this 4/5 stars. It's playful, responsive, carves a nice long turn and comes around clay short-turn too if you really want to work on your carving. Have a great day.

Hey everyone it's Fidel. Just got off of K2's all-terrain rocker Impact which is kind of the little brother to the Rictor which replaced the Recon from several years ago. It's an awesome ski, good for anybody even your advancing highschooler or lighter man that really wants to rip it up. 80mm under foot, really quick edge to edge. You have great technology, very forgiving, lots of dampening edge to edge when you're on the front side. Overall I give it a great five out of five.

The K2 Impact. All new for this year, this is a really fun ski if you are fast side to side you're going to like it a lot. It's going to help you throw from turn to turn with your transitions. It's a lot of fun, great edge hold. It's got a vertical sidewall to it so it is going to grip and hold real well. This does not have any titanium in it so if you're somebody who's a little bit lighter weight maybe somebody who is not cranking as hard as they used to but they still wants a a fun great ski, this would be ideal for you. I give this three out of five stars.

Hi I'm Kevin. I just got off the brand new K2 Impact. This is the baby brother to the Rictor. You lose a little bit of stability and a little bit of pop here because you lose the metal in the ski but overall still a very good ski. It's a very nurturing ski, it's forgiving. Good for that advancing intermediate to low-end advanced skier that is on a budget. Really good ski here, great edge grip, stability, quick edge to edge, little bit of rocker in the tip to get some float in the powder. The cruddy snow makes it turn very easier transition. So the ski gets four and a half out of five stars from me.

Hi this is Terry. Just got off the K2 Impact in a 174 all mountain rockered. Good all Mountain ski or big Mountain ski for intermediate skier. It's 80 underfoot so it makes good turns. You can use it for racing as well. I give it a good 4/5 stars.
