Rossignol Experience 78 Skis with TPI Axium 2 110 L Bindings 2012 |
The Experience 78 is a new shape and design from Rossignol this season. A blend of thirty percent tip and tail rocker with traditional camber underfoot make this a great game improvement tool for the intermediate, who wants to be more adventurous over the entire mountain. The Rocker in the tip makes this guy float on top of the powder, deflect negative energy from crud, and initiate turns quickly on the hard pack. The extended sidecut continues past the contact point where tip and tail rocker start, so when your edge angle increases more sidecut is engaged for easier and more powerful turning. A cascade tip lightens up the tip of the ski for improved swing weight for quicker and more adaptable turn initiation. At 78mm underfoot the Experience 78 is a very versatile width that provides quickness edge to edge, and is still stable in the crud and broken snow. A great game improvement ski for the intermediate who wants to experience the entire mountain.

I am 60 years old and wanted to get back into skiing with my grandkids. I used to ski blues and blacks. Now I ski just blues. These skies have more than enough performance for my needs. They cruise nicely with big wide turns and when I lean downhill and go quickly edge to edge they really stick and turn. At my age now, I want something predictable and smooth. They almost suck me into doing the same crazy stuff I did when I was younger.

Hi this is Trey, I just got off of the Rossi Experience 78. I give this ski 4/5 stars. I think it's a very good ski, advanced beginner through advanced intermediate ski. It's a transitional ski that will help you learn how to carve turns and give you confidence when you stand on it. It's got a little early rise in the tip so it's easy to link your turns without getting hung up. It's definitely designed for the groomers, Midwest ski for when it gets a little weird and cut up so decent ski. 4/5 stars.

Hey Thom here with the Rossignol Experience 78. This thing gets 3/5 stars. Real mellow ski, it's got a good sidewall underfoot. Really designed for the intermediate cruiser skier. Somebody who is going to be spending most of their time on blue runs but what's cool about this ski is with all little bit of auto turn rocker to the tip you can kind of slide and smear it. If you're not holding that edge properly or if you're a little bit more tired at the end of the day but also if you tilt it up on the edge, it'll actually bite and carve pretty decently. The sidewall underfoot gives you something to stand on but for that decent intermediate skier who's just looking for something comfortable smooth and predictable, this is it.

Hi this is Luke. I just finished skiing the Rossignol Experience 78. This ski is 77 under foot, it has a 17 m turn radius. Out on the hill it will feel nice and stable with that 77 mm underfoot width and with the 17 m turn radius. It kind of wants to make an average to larger arch out on the hill and I've found this to be a very smooth ski. I think it'd be great if you're a beginner to intermediate level skier looking to progress. It's a very forgiving ski. It doesn't take a whole lot of muscle to really initiate the turns. It just wants to hook up naturally on It's own without making a lot of effort. I give this ski 3/5 stars.

Hey I'm Kevin. I just got off the brand new Rossignol Experience 78. It's a brand-new intermediate ski from them this year. You got the auto turn rocker tip and tail so it makes it really easy to get on edge. Very smooth and guides you into the turn. This is going to be a very good ski for that advancing intermediate that really wants to carve and start exploring the mountain. 78 waist width sidewall underfoot. It's got really good edge grip that Rocker choppy snow. It'll help keep you floating, bust through that crud and it also helps guide you into the turn. Initiates a turn very easily. I really like this ski for the advancing intermediate that needs a little help This ski will make you an advanced skier in no time flat. So this ski gets 4 1/2 out of 5 stars from me.

Hi I'm Doug with the Rossignol Experience 78. Very fun ski, great for strong intermediate to even advanced intermediate. Very fast ski, good edge, holds side to side. Short turn radius is nice and long turns on it as well. Holds really well on soft pack. I love this ski. I give it a 4 1/2 out of 5.

I'm Adam and I was just skiing on the Rossignol Experience 78. This is a new ski for them. This year it has a little bit of auto turn in the tip and the tail meaning that it's slightly turned up or reverse camber. They're good skis for someone that's looking to get out of skidding turns or initiate turns a little bit quicker. They're a little skinny on your foot though so if you're planning on venturing off the trail I recommend going up to the 88. Overall for It's price and how it skis, very good ski. I give it a 4/5.
