The Venture was designed for intermediate to casual advanced skiers who ski the western states or areas that receive 300 inches annually. A mid 90mm waist makes it ideal in regions of decent snow fall or for skiers who prefer off piste conditions more often than on. It has enough width to perform in variable terrain with ample sidecut plus an edge to edge quickness to slay corduroy. Taking a modern approach on a classic build the Venture uses SSCL construction, a wood sandwich with fiberglass laminates and full sidewalls, but adds the very unique Venturi tip and tail. VTT technology relies on a concave shape in the tip and tail so airflow can actually decrease the initial pressure for better tracking. Not only does the Venturi work on hardpack but when combined with Venturi Tip Rocker, slight tip rocker with camber, it supplies dominating float and control resulting in a ski that responds easily with greater predictability. Finally a Dual Radius sidecut provides control to vary your turn shape and challenge the terrain effortlessly. What the Venture lacks on top end power it makes up for in width, support and fantastic response for intermediate to advanced skiers looking to ski the whole mountain.
