Remember the well lover Prophet 100? Well it is gone, replaced by the all new Prophet 98. The changed to 98mm along with the name but the Prophet 98 managed to become an even better all-arounder. Keeping the Maple Macroblock Core topped by a Metal Matrix the Prophet 98 starts with a powerful, lively framework. It also held onto the P-Cut geometry, originally developed for the Prophet series, for precision turn initiation at all speeds. To up the edge hold Line developed their new Capwall construction, placing a slim sidewall through all but the tip and tail of the Prophet 98, magically giving the 98 more edge grip than it's predecessor. With the slimming of the waist the Prophet 98 needed something extra so it would retain great off piste and powder performance. Enter the Early Rise Tip (20cm x2.5mm), giving just enough rocker to help the 98 plane over crud, crust, and powder as well as improving the turn initiation. As a result, the Prophet 98 enjoys a responsive feel usually reserved for much more narrow skis. Advanced through expert skiers will find the Prophet 98 to be every bit of a true all mountain ski as happy on groomers as it is in knee deep powder. Any concerns about going wider than 90mm will be erased after a few turns on the 98.

Hi I'm Charlie with Line's new Prophet 98. Replaced the Prophet 100 this also has the new design on it. This is a great ski, surprisingly poppy and quick turning but it will still make that really big long stable turn. Love this ski, five out of five stars. Great ski for any advanced skier who wants to do anything on the mountain.

Hi this is EJ. This is the Line Prophet 98, a new ski for this year. It's been modified over the prophet 100 from the past which is the ski of the year several years ago. So those of you who like that ski are probably going to like this one better. It's got a little bit of edge hold because the titinal has been designed to put edge pressure to the contact points in the tip and the tail. This is not your groomer front side ski, however, you've have to take this to powder conditions and stay off the groomers. Your just going to slide around a little bit so if you're looking for a versatile ski this isn't it but if you want to ski that wants to go in the powder this ski will rock for you. Have a great day.

Hey guys It's Fidel. Just got off of Lines Prophet 98. It's a lot of ski, 98 underfoot 2.8 titanium, it is basically your big mountain take anywhere one quiver ski. For me personally it's a lot, I actually prefer the 90 over the 98 but that's just me personally. The biggest thing about it is it's really stiff, it is more forgiving than I thought it was going to be. Overall 4/5 stars.

Hi I'm Kevin and I just got off the brand new Line Prophet 98. This ski was formally the prophet 100. They narrowed it just a little bit overall adding a cap wall construction so it's got sidewall under the foot, capped tip and tail. Awesome, awesome ski, before if you stood on it hard enough you could get it to go out from underneath your foot but not anymore. With the new sidewall under the foot it's very, very stable. You can give it all you've got and it's not going to wash out from you whatsoever. So, very stable, very high-performance all mountain twin. Probably a good 50-50 ski for somebody who's doing 50% on hardpacked and 50% off trail. This is probably one of the most versatile skis on the market and it gets five out of five stars from me.

Comments about Line Prophet 98 Skis 2012:
Hi I'm Steve, I just got off the Profit 98. I give this 4/5 stars. It's a very nice cruising ski. If you want something to just kind of layout, make big wide open easy turns. What I didn't like about it is it wasn't really snappy and transitioned more slowly into the turns but if you like a big wide open cruising type of turn and you want something that just kind of floats this would be a great ski. With a 98 waist it would be great in any kind of powdery conditions but actually held fine on hardpacked as well. What I really did like about it is that the turns were silky smooth and it was a very easy ski to ski. I didn't have to give it a lot of effort.

Hi I'm Thom and I'm here with the Line Prophet 98. This is the replacement for the Prophet 100 which has been one of my favorite skis a long time running and this year it gets a little bit of an update. They added a bit of sidewall underfoot. This thing gets a 5/5. They took a fantastic ski and made it even better. You can stand on the thing turn short turns, quick turns. It's just a powerful fun ski, the only downside to it would be for somebody whose a little bit more timid and not on the tips of their skis quite as much it will start to chatter a bit. But for somebody whose looking to go everywhere do everything no matter what the conditions are this is a great ski.

Hi, Trey here with the brand new Prophet 98 from Line. I skied the Prophet 100 for years and always enjoyed it. This ski has improved it even more! I think it's great for an intermediate skier or that expert like you can do a lot of different things, ski out West or big open bowls. Very powerful; there is no rocker in it or anything. You can really load a lot of energy into this ski and get rewarded. It's extremely stable and just an excellent skiing ski. I give it 4/5 stars.
