The Scimitar is a sick jib stick that has plenty of all mountain capabilities. If your day includes backcountry booters, a few pow laps, or a run or two down a freshly cut pipe the 98mm waisted Scimitar is for you. The Spin Turn Rocker is 100% full banana shaped, so the ski has a ridiculously low swing weight, with lots of pop in the tip and tail. This construction style ensures that the Scimitar is able to surf and float in some pow too. An extended sidecut continues beyond the contact points so the Scimitar can hook up on your winding in runs for your table top sessions. The Jib Tip is equipped with a rubber layer for shock absorption and durability, while keeping a low profile for step ups on to rails and switch skiing. The Rossignol Mini Cap construction has a wood core and 30 degree sloping sidewalls to strengthen the topsheet of the ski without adding weight. The Scimitar has a Jib Absorption System which is a thick rubber layer between the sidewall, edge, and in the tip and tail for absorbing big landings and increased durability. If Jibber Joe is your name the Rossignol Scimitar is a great choice for you.

Comments about Rossignol Scimitar Skis 2012:
I didn't think I wanted a full rockered ski but I tried this one anyway. I think it handles better than most 50/50 rockered skis because it has a long gradual rocker rather than a short steep one. I ski mostly bumps when it isn't a powder day. Through the bumps and on the groomers I was shocked at the quick and snappy turns this ski could make when you wanted to ski a tight line. I'm guessing it is because you have a lot less of an edge contacting the snow. But when I wanted to cruise and make longer turns I had absolutely no problem getting the entire ski edge on the snow for a good grip. I've demoed 10 skiis and this is by far my favorite. I want to try the Sickle before making a final choice but I am buying this one or that one this season.

Hi this is Trey with Rossi's new Scimitar. It replaced the S5, it's got a U rocker in it so there is no camber at all. It's actually a very predictable, stable ski. For having a lot of rocker it doesn't wander at all. Very stable when you put it up on edge you don't feel that kind of drifting out like you do on a lot of really rockered out skis. I think it's a great ski for advanced intermediate up to the expert skier skiing some on the groomers but mainly off piste. A little bit looking for some side country stuff, skiing out West or maybe in the Sierra Nevada or something like that. I give it 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Hey this is Thom. I'm here with the Rossignol Scimitar Ski. Gets five out of five. Really cool ski, this year they added the U rocker to it. 98 waist, full sidewall and for me this is really what I consider your versatile all Mountain ski. It goes into a turn super easily when its engaged, it's locked on edge. When you can get it to turn pretty short, pretty snappy, but when you open up to a GS radius it's a real mellow, real smooth. It's kind of that automatic turn feel; you don't have to think or work it too hard but when you stand on it, it's definitely there for you and for somebody who is in the advanced skier or really even that solid intermediate that wants an all Mountain ski that's really going to offer them float and stability in crud and softer snow, this is a great ski.

Hey this is Micah, I'm on the Rossignol Scimitar. This thing is basically Rossi's full out Park ski. It's gonna have cap construction through it but it's a little bit stiffer and poppier than you'd expect. It was great with butters and rails. It seems to like 'em a lot and ollies, it's all for an ollie. So I'm gonna have to give this ski a four and a half out of five because I really liked it.

Hey I'm Kyle I'm here with the Rossignol Scimitar. This ski, I found it to be pretty fun. It's a great ski for a Midwest skier, for an all Mountain skier. You can take it through the park, it's got a U rocker so pretty much you can hold an edge but then when you want to let it go you can. It's a fun ski and I give it a five out of five.

Hey I'm Kevin, I just got off the brand-new Rossignol Scimitar. I like to ski this ski, it gets five out of five stars from me. It's got the U rocker on it so it's fully rockered, really easy to ski, very quick edge to edge. I was really surprised by how much pop this ski had. Had a ton of pop coming off a lip, really easy to spin, very easy to butter. So, I thought it was a really good all mountain freestyle free ride twin. So for that guy or kid that is up and coming and wants something that he can kind of ski the park and ski all mountain, ski some powder in, this is a really good ski for you.

This is Evan with the Rossi Scimitar. I give this Ski five out of five. I really enjoyed it. It has a nice U-rocker shape to it. Also with the full-bodied sidewall, so it holds an edge really well but it's also easy to get in and out of turns. It's definitely a ski that you can ski in the park half the day and then go ride the rest of the mountain the rest of the day. I definitely recommend this to any Midwest groomer and Park riders.

Comments about Rossignol Scimitar Skis 2012:
I loved the Scimitar ski! If you like to spin and jump around the mountain then you will love this ski too. It has full rocker so on groomers you have really low swing weight. You can take them out in the side country and get some deeps turns in with its wide waste and rocker and then once it gets all tracked out then you can take some hot laps through the park for the rest of the day. When you put them over on edge and turn more of the edges grip and you can actually turn good but when you lay them flat on their bases you can swivel them around and spin of jumps and rails with ease. Rossignol's mini cap construction makes the ski hold up really good too. A ski that you can use and abuse all year long. Great price too.
