Volkl The Grizzly Skis with iPT Wide Ride 12.0 Bindings |
Motion iPT Wide Ride and the updated Power Switch are both featured on the new Grizzly. Volkl and Marker engineers set out to build a mid fat ski that offered more float, but could still carve on groomed snow. Thanks to Motion iPT Wide Ride, the Grizzly raises the performance bar. With an all-new shape of 131-89-114mm, the Grizzly is wide enough to float through powder and beat up the crud - through the efficient power delivery of Wide Ride, the skier can also carve on hard, groomed snow with ease. The versatility of the Grizzly is increased even further by the new, 3 Position Power Switch Technology. Power Switch consists of dual carbon fiber rods encased in full-length longitudinal 'tuning tubes.' Moving the switch compresses or releases springs at the front of each rod, increasing or decreasing the ski's power, for the ultimate personalization. If the skier wants to ski hard, with a lot of power, getting the most rebound and energy from the ski, the skier simply moves the switch to the 'Power' position. For a slightly more relaxed ride that still has plenty of power and rebound, put the switch in the 'Dynamic' or middle position. If the skier wants to relax and just take it easy, the 'Cruise' position releases the tension on the elastomerregulated springs, giving the ski less snap and power, but a more relaxed ride.
