When you're freestyling this winter make sure to protect the head for those times when you biff a pipe trick or take a spill on the slopes. It's okay, it happens. You'll hardly notice the lightweight Burton RED Hi Fi Helmet atop your noggin anyway. Designed with an Ultra Lightweight In-Molded Polycarbonate Shell and with a Vent Mesh it's the best way to ride with room for wearing your favorite beanie underneath. It's also equipped with a Removable Goggle Gasket allowing you to fully remove the shield which eliminates the gap between goggle and helmet while remaining windproof and breathable. These RED Hi Fi Helmets are audio capable so you can turn this baby into a audio-playing helmet with an Audex Ear Pad or Audio/Subwoofer Ear Pad (Sorry, dude, not included just compatible). But you do have the Quick Clip Ear Pads which are included and give you enhanced warmth for added comfort. Just snap 'em in and you're ready to ride. Created with a low-profile and ASTM 2040 / CE 1077 Certified, it's no wonder the pro riders wear these. Get a RED Hi Fi Helmet today and really rock the mountain this winter!

    Comments about R.E.D. Hi-Fi Helmet:

I bought this helmet on sale last August for my ski trip in January 2013. Wolf Creek, CO doesn't have helmets to rent and I enjoy being able walk after a wipe-out. Anyways, this helmet proved to be my friend on more than one occasion. In January, I went off a jump and ended up bouncing my head off the hard-pack. Though my head was still throbbing from the extremely hard fall, the helmet did its job. I got up and went back up the mountain. I March, I lost control and skied into a tree. Again, proving the need for a helmet. Once again, I got up and skied down the mountain. If you're looking for a helmet that can take multiple hard hits and still do its job. This is a great helmet to get.

I give it four out of five stars for a couple of reasons. I wore a headliner every time I used it, so I don't know if it's warm or not. It did help the headliner retain head thought. Also, the padding on the inside of the helmet could be designed a bit differently. The Velcro liner seems to lose its stick after a while. If you don't mess with it, you should be in good shape. One last thing, I've had sore ears a couple of times. I'm not sure if it was so much the helmet as it was the full head liner I was wearing.

All in all. This is a great helmet for the money. And at $40 off the original price? How can you go wrong?
