The X12 race binding is the perfect choice for lighter weight racers using Atomic ski or any other universal plate. With a 4-12 DIN range and metal housings it has solid retention and very good durability for the abuse race provides. The VAR adjustable positioning system is also handy for fine tuning stance from course to course as you have up to seven positions, depending on boot sole length. A 70mm brake width and under 18mm of stand height make compatibility with just about any race ski easy and within FIS standards. There are also additional lifter plates if needed to dial in your ideal stance. While the X12 is a great race binding we so suggest racers over 175 pounds go up to the X16.
