The X16 is the race binding of choice for larger, 165 pounds and up, racers on Atomic race skis or anything else with a generic race plate. With an 8-16 DIN Range and a full metal toe and heel the X16 is beefy enough for everything but speed events for large or very powerful racers. The VAR adjustment system is great for fine tuning stance on different courses as it offers a possible seven mounting positions, depending on boot sole, without remounting the binding. Particularly important with Atomic D2 race skis, the X16 has full flex, which allows for a clean flex under the binding so you can get the most out of each turn. A sub 18mm stand height make the X16 easy to tune in for your perfect and FIS legal stand height as well. Bigger racers should look to the X16 for reliable and durable performance.
