Downhill racing poles have a distinct bend, but sometimes it's tough to find the same sort of performance refinements on slalom poles. Scott's World Cup SL Ski Poles are the real racing deal with ultra-durable S4 aluminum alloy shafts and molded thermoplastic rubber/polypropylene grips. Scott used wind tunnel technology to design the Race Baskets on the World Cup SL poles and minimize drag. Scott's S4 aluminum shafts are rated to 75,000 PSI and feature a distinct dual taper design (swaging) that reduces the outside diameter while increasing the shaft thickness for enhanced durability. Beneath it all is a lightweight, diamond-shaped ice tip for exceptional hold in slick conditions.
