I bought this for my daughter who is learning to ski. The problem is that the velcro attaches to the skis with adhesive and has to "set" for 45 minutes prior to use. Since we are renting skis for her we didn't want to attach the velcro to the rental skis. I think most people rent skis for their kids or anyone else who is learning to ski, so the adhesive doesn't make much sense on a training aid.
