I have a hard time finding snowboard boots I really like, however I think these Vans Wiig boots are going to be the money. The Wiig boot is true to size I think. It fits really well out of the box and should only get better. You do not have to over tighten the laces to have it feel snug and supportive. Perfect flex I think; Not too soft, not too stiff. It comes with tongue stiffeners but most probably will not need to insert those. The outlast fabric and insulating materials ought to work great in a freezing climate.
Its maybe a little difficult to slip on and take off, but that is to be expected with more of a performance boot.
