The Marker Barron is a revolutionary binding that blurs the lines between an alpine touring binding, and a traditional alpine binding. The release lever is easily reachable, and quick to swap from hiking mode to downhill mode. New this season are a seven and thirteen degree hiking positions, for faster and easier hiking. The Barron is also the first backcountry binding designed for wider skis for more torsional rigidity. The shortest frame on the market gives your skis a nice even flex, with a smaller dead spot underneath the binding. The backward movement in hiking mode is 40mm, give you better balance, lower swing weight, and easier kick turns. If you will spend some time hiking and skinning, and don't want a flimsy full blown touring binding, so you can have confidence on the decent that your skis are clamped on use the Marker Barron.
