Got these as a gift for my wife. Initially, she wasn't excited about having white accents on the boots for fear that they would get dirty over time. However, after looking at other options, she realized the other features of the skates outweighed the dirt possibilities. The width was a little snug initially as she has wider feet, but they seem to be adjusting. Her previous skates had smaller wheels, so the turning radius and the extra few inches added to the front of the skate took a little getting used to, but she loves them. VERY Fast Skate. She's cut 2 minutes off her usual time and has added 2 miles to her regular routine with little extra effort.

Deliverred exactly as expected, though the retail box had obviously been opened previously, all the pieces/parts were there and everything was perfect.

I have been rollerblading for about 13 years. I bought these skates for getting around my college campus and I love them. My campus is huge and has a variety of terrains including brick, concrete (rough/smooth), and shallow gravel along with a bunch of hills. In addition there is constantly construction going on so there are pebbles everywhere. I have not had a single problem with these skates at all. I will say that these skates are not for inexperienced skaters. If you cannot stop without a brake don't bother. They will take a bit of getting used to as the turning radius is pretty wide and they are quite fast so it takes a bit more power to stop. But you should be acclimated in a couple of days. I came back to blading recently after a 6 year hiatus. I blade on bike paths and streets, for exercise and fun. After struggling with my old pair of boots, I wanted to get more comfort and ease in the experience. Things have certainly changed since I bought my old, first pair. The Speedmachine 100 is very comfortable on the foot, and has an extremely smooth, gliding feel. Even on bumpy pavement. My one disappointment is the brake. It's not adjustable, and requires that I take a very low, uncomfortable stance to push my heel down hard enough to slow and to stop. I expected such a high end product would come with a more sophisticated mechanism for braking. I need to check in with Customer Service to see if there is better brake option.

Takes some getting used compared to regular length rollerblades! A little practice and you'll be logging in the miles!
