The Affinity Air is a true confidence building ski for absolute beginners, occasional renters, or for teens transitioning to their first set of adult equipment. Designed to be a forgiving ski with a go anywhere mentality the Affinity Air starts with a 74mm waist, making it easy to get edge to edge but also wide enough for the more adventurous minded to feel comfortable with occasional off-piste skiing. A basic Cap Fiber construction and lightweight composite core allow the Affinity Air to have a smooth feel with decent edge hold. To make the Air incredibly easy going Adaptive Rocker is used, a slight rise to the tip of the skis, which helps keep the tip of the ski from hanging up in choppy or inconsistent snow, but more importantly makes turn initiation effortless and almost instant. With the tip slightly off the snow there is nothing to catch so each carve is smooth but precise keeping you in control no matter what. Add on the Lightrak binding system for a bit of extra power to the edges for better support as you start skiing faster and the Affinity Air pretty much has it all. Whether the areas between the trails are already calling out to you or you simply want a ski with huge stability and automatic turns feel the Affinity Air is a great place to start your skiing career.
