K2 SuperFree Womens Skis with Marker/K2 ERS 11.0 TC Bindings 2012 |
The SuperFree is new from K2 this season. An advanced ski that is designed to be taken in both groomed and ungroomed snow conditions. The All Terrain Rocker, is rocker in the tip, and slight tail rocker that helps you float on top of the powder, and broken snow, and initiate turns quicker on the groomers. A 76mm waist is a perfect width for having some speed edge to edge and some float in the powder. Hybritech Sidewalls are cap construction in the tip and tail with a vertical sidewall on the majority of the ski, is a slightly more demanding feel, but superior edge grip. Perfect for the Midwest and Back East ice. The Marker/K2 ERS (Energy Response System) is a full pound lighter than the previous binding system, and the integrated hubs are closer together to accommodate a smaller boot sole, and maintain a smooth flexing ski. The Bioflex 2 core is 70% aspen 30% paulownia wood has plenty of torsional strength without being too heavy or demanding. A Superific ski for most women, intermediates will love it and improve their skiing, enough ski for most experts, the Superific appeals to a wide range of women.

Hi I'm Julie. I just got off the K2 Super Free. K2 redesigned their line for this year. This is the replacement for the Free Love. I give it a 3/5 star rating. It's a little bit wider ski for all mountain usage. They use all terrain rocker in the tip and tail to help make the ski a little bit easier to initiate, run a sidewall ski and vary that to a cap construction in the very tip and tail with their bioflex core to really make it nice and soft in the tip really easy to initiate the turn. I found that it got a little chattery at speed and for an advanced level ski I thought that was a little bit sub-par. It's a good looking ski probably my favorite graphic in their line this year and they are also using the smaller marker toe piece to help reduce the overall weight for the ladies.

Hi this is April. This is the K2 Super Free. I don't know about it being Super Free but it was super fun. This is a great ski for that lady, maybe she hasn't developed all of those tipping movements to really carve that ski around but that little rise in the rocker on this ski really helps her to get into that turn quick. A lot of proportion through here so when she engages that ski just carves around. It's light, it's lively, it's fun headed over in the bumps. It was super fun in the bumps, not so much so that I felt like I was getting my tails popping into the air. It would let me glide into a new turn effortlessly. If you've been challenged with skiing and you have a hard time starting that new turn that's the ski for you. It's the K2 Super Free.

I'm Lynn. I just skied the K2 Super Free. This is a 158 cm ski, it has about a 14 meter turn radius. It's geared towards the advanced intermediate to advanced person. I loved this ski and if you're a skier whose been intermediate to advanced intermediate to advanced and you like a ski that has a nice easy initiation, great versatility, good responsiveness, I think you would really like this ski I'd give it a 5/5 stars.

Hi I am Annie and I just skied the K2 Super Free. It's a new K2 ski. It's a really nice ladies ski. It's advanced to intermediate and it loves speed. It was super stable, it had nice flex and it has two core Hypertech Sidewall Bio flex. It is everything I would have hoped for out of an intermediate to advanced ski. I give this one a five out of five.
